Join Us Dec. 6 to Sip Wine, Enjoy Tapas & Learn about Terra Madre

To Slow Food fans, the international Terra Madre Salone del Gusto festival is a way to honor artisan and small-scale food and wine producers. Hundreds of thousands of people descend on Turin, Italy, for this gathering, held every other year.

Ciao – it’s a little easier to get to Cincinnati’s Terra Madre event!

Join Slow Food Cincinnati from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Taste on Elm, the specialty wine, food market and café in historic Ludlow, Kentucky.

Owners Lauren and Challis Hodge are offering a tasting of three small-production wines, and tapas pairings with local produce from Dark Wood Farm, for $35. They’ll explain the Slow Food approach used in producing these items, as well as how they partner with small, regional businesses, like Dark Wood Farm of Brooksville, Kentucky, for their extensive product offerings.

Dark Wood Farm producers will be on hand to answer questions and explain their philosophy, processes and more.

Register for the Terra Madre event (here).

Drop-ins are welcome, too!

Learn more about Taste on Elm (here) and its sister restaurant, Conserva (here).

Slow Food Cincinnati members will be at Terra Madre to answer any questions you have about the global movement – founded by Carlo Petrini in 1986 in Italy – and local producers whose food can enrich your lives.

It’s all about good, clean and fair food. Become a member of Slow Food USA (here).
